Treaty Reinsurance Senior Client Support – London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Treaty Reinsurance Senior Client Support professional to join a leading global Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance broker in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Treaty Reinsurance professional, Reinsurance Broker, Reinsurance Account Executive, Senior Broker Support professional or Reinsurance Client Services specialist looking to develop their career within a market-leading international broking environment.

The successful candidate will support the team in delivering an excellent and comprehensive service across new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments for Treaty Reinsurance clients, with particular exposure to North American Wholesale Reinsurance business.

You will work closely with clients, Treaty Brokers, underwriters, Lloyd’s markets and internal technical processing teams, supporting the end-to-end placement and administration of Treaty Reinsurance programmes.

Key Responsibilities – Treaty Reinsurance

As a Senior Client Support professional within Treaty Reinsurance, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the administration and servicing of Treaty Reinsurance new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments.
  • Supporting the placement and running of Treaty Reinsurance programmes across predominantly North American Wholesale business.
  • Reviewing client documentation to ensure information is accurate, comprehensive and suitable for the Treaty Reinsurance quoting and placement process.
  • Preparing, reviewing and checking market presentations for Treaty Reinsurance risks.
  • Liaising directly with clients to understand requirements and resolve queries efficiently.
  • Responding to queries from reinsurance markets, underwriters and third-party stakeholders.
  • Producing accurate, high-quality and compliant Market Reform Contracts (MRCs).
  • Producing high-quality market documentation and ensuring the appropriate authorisations are obtained.
  • Acting as an effective conduit between Treaty Broking and Technical Processing Teams.
  • Preparing accurate handover documentation to facilitate efficient technical processing.
  • Monitoring Treaty Reinsurance premium payments and ensuring premium due dates are met.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client, policy and placement records on company systems.
  • Collating client requirements and communicating these effectively to ensure appropriate marketing of Treaty Reinsurance risks.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, brokers and reinsurance underwriters.
  • Supporting senior colleagues and Treaty Brokers with client requirements, renewals and mid-term changes.
  • Developing and maintaining effective underwriter relationships within the Lloyd’s and international reinsurance markets.

Treaty Reinsurance Planning & Reporting

You will be expected to:

  • Contribute effectively to team meetings and business planning.
  • Plan and prioritise your workload to achieve agreed objectives.
  • Meet agreed individual and team targets.
  • Manage allocated projects and contribute to wider business initiatives.
  • Provide relevant and accurate management information to senior management.
  • Escalate issues and seek guidance from senior colleagues when appropriate.

Reinsurance Technical Knowledge & Expertise

The successful candidate will ideally have experience within Treaty Reinsurance, Reinsurance Broking or Reinsurance Client Support.

You will have a good understanding of the Lloyd’s reinsurance market, Treaty placement process, Market Reform Contracts, client documentation, underwriting relationships and technical processing.

Experience with North American Wholesale Reinsurance would be particularly advantageous.

  • Ensuring documentation is produced promptly and accurately.
  • Maintaining appropriate records and dealing with correspondence professionally.
  • Complying with all applicable legal, fiscal and regulatory obligations.
  • Completing all relevant regulatory and compliance training.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant legal, regulatory and Lloyd’s market developments.
  • Operating with honesty, professionalism and integrity.

Client Service & Relationship Management

A key part of this Treaty Reinsurance Senior Client Support role will be developing excellent relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

You will be expected to deliver a consistently high standard of client service, technical accuracy, responsiveness and professionalism.

Experience Required – Treaty Reinsurance

Ideally, you will have 2–5 years' experience within Treaty Reinsurance, Reinsurance Broking or a related insurance/reinsurance environment.

Previous experience supporting Treaty Brokers and the reinsurance placement process is highly desirable.

Experience or knowledge of Market Reform Contract (MRC) production would be advantageous.
