Senior Operations Specialist - About the role
Responsible for oversight of certain non-financial regulatory returns to Lloyd’s e.g. TRIA, ATIA and GAREAT.
Key contact during the monthly close process for the Policy Administration System. Co-ordination with outsourced business partner for risk administration, seeking to improve processes.
Senior Operations Specialist - Key duties
Oversight of certain non-financial regulatory returns to Lloyd’s, or Group regulators e.g. TRIA, ATIA and GAREAT.
Responsible for the monthly Gross Written Premium report creation, distribution and collation of responses from underwriters.
Identify opportunities to outsource further tasks to the risk administration outsourced business partner, any change requests to be documented and revised procedures drafted. Provide training and establish KPIs.
Provide monthly KPIs and reporting to senior management.
Act as a SME for underwriting operations, reviewing current procedures and flow charts to make recommendations for improvement. Delivering the changes required to move towards an underwriting operations Business Partner model.
Monitor data quality entry by the outsourced business partner in PAS and work with them to improve. Utilise data quality tools for exception reporting and root cause analysis.
Adhoc tasks required by the Operations Specialist Manager.
Senior Operations Specialist - Key requirements
Familiar with London Market Insurance processes and systems.
Knowledge of Business Partner Outsourcing to transfer and monitor tasks on and off shore.
Proficient in Microsoft products including Visio.
Familiar with Lloyd’s underwriting processes and non-financial regulatory reporting, for example TRIA.
Prior experience as an SME during change projects and adoption of new processes.
