Reinsurance Technician - About the role

Reinsurance recoveries for Excess of loss, proportional and facultative accounts

Calculate, issue and monitor reinsurance collection notes as per contract terms and conditions

Produce Risk and Claim bordereaux to support reinsurance accounts

Comply with department’s month/quarter end deadline requirements

Respond to reinsurers queries in a timely manner

Renewal presentation information

Management information

Project work - assist in the testing and implementation of new software or processes

Review and update procedure manuals in an accurate and timely manner

Manage the relationships with Customers, Agents and Service Providers:

Advise, assist and service customers on insurance and risk matters to promote customers’ satisfaction;

Foster positive relationships with Customers and attain an understanding of their needs;

Ensure that Customer Complaints are promptly identified, recorded and referred as appropriate; and,

Ensure that the principles of Treating Customers Fairly are upheld by Agents and Service Providers.


Reinsurance Technician - Key requirements

Previous experience in a Senior / Team leader capacity would be highly advantageous

Previous reinsurance recoveries experience

Experience with a Lloyd’s syndicate

Excel, intermediate

Word, intermediate

Desirable - experience with the 'Lors’ systems

Desirable - experience with a database system

Desirable - CII
