New Business Team Leader - About the role

You will lead, manage and motivate a highly effective new business team. Take responsibility for achieving business deliverables in addition to maximising the performance of the team and The provision of excellence in service and TCF through adherence to company procedures and regulatory requirements.

New Business Team Leader - Key duties

Act as role model CNU behaviours to lead, manage and motivate the team

Set individual business targets in your designated area of responsibility and be accountable for the team’s performance, motivation and growth, through effective performance management processes, retention and employee development

Work with management team to conduct weekly and monthly team meetings to ensure business objectives are cascaded to team and performance is on track

Ensure all team members have a performance development plan in place and manage/support performance issues to ensure all team members are delivering to achieve business targets

Conduct regular 1:1s and annual appraisals with your team ensuring that the team have SMART objectives set aligned to the business strategy

Devise effective method to support Network’s sales team and attend Network meetings as and when required

Devise agent visit plans to enhance business relationships with selected agents and improve development

New Business Team Leader - Key experience

Proven understanding of commercial new business underwriting

Good past history of achieving new business objectives

Managing new business development for key accounts

Good technical knowledge of commercial business, especially, commercial combined, contractors and property classes

You will need to have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, must be computer literate, be able to prioritise workload, hit deadlines and have a positive can do attitude.
