Business Services Technician - Lloyd’s Insurance Sector - About the role

The purpose of this role is to provide support on all aspects of monitoring Business Partner services and performance; this can include underwriting query handling, monitoring premiums received, binder management and sanctions screening. The role aims to build a good relationship with underwriting teams.

Applicants may accept this role as an apprenticeship. We will support you through the Level 3 Apprenticeship Programme: Insurance Practitioner, which includes the CII certificate in insurance or the level 6 apprenticeship programme: Senior Insurance Professional, which includes the ACII certificate in insurance.

Business Services Technician - Lloyd’s Insurance Sector- Key Duties

Day to day co-ordination, logging and monitoring of Business Partner services and performance

Quality control checking

Assist in the co-ordination and delivery of training/coaching for Business Partners, including the maintenance of BP Procedure Manuals

Overseeing the Binder and Coverholder mailboxes, chasing and reporting of missing bordereaux, maintaining internal systems and checking BDX entries

Oversee Business Partner activities for downloading bordereaux from broker repositories

Ongoing due diligence, Service Company / Sox Control administration

Assist with the review and reporting on premium variances within the monthly reporting timeframe

-Assist with departmental requirements regarding deferred premium reporting and system updates, review of adjustable premiums, premium variances

Business Services Technician - Lloyd’s Insurance Sector - Key requirements

The ideal candidate will have general office administration or an insurance administration background, and have the following key skills and attributes:

Intermediate to advanced IT skills

GCSE Maths and English grade B or above or equivalent

Minimum of 5 other GCSE’s grade C or above
