The Role

As a Household Insurance Sales & Renewals Advisor, you will provide expert advice on Home Insurance products, generate competitive quotations, convert enquiries into sales, and retain existing customers through excellent service and tailored insurance solutions.

This role offers the opportunity to build long-term customer relationships while working with a range of Personal Lines Insurance products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound customer calls for Household Insurance Quotes, Home Insurance Renewals, and new business enquiries.
  • Provide competitive quotations for Buildings Insurance, Contents Insurance, and Combined Home Insurance.
  • Convert insurance quotations into successful new business sales.
  • Retain existing customers by negotiating competitive renewal premiums.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional insurance products including:
    • Motor Insurance
    • Travel Insurance
    • Landlord Insurance
    • Legal Expenses Insurance
  • Explain policy cover, exclusions, optional extras, and insurance benefits clearly.
  • Process policy amendments, cancellations, and mid-term adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate customer records using insurer portals and CRM systems.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA regulations, Consumer Duty, and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
  • Achieve individual sales, retention, compliance, and customer service targets.

You'll also have:

  • Previous experience selling or renewing Household Insurance policies.

  • Excellent communication and rapport-building abilities.
  • Experience using insurance broking systems or insurer portals.
  • Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work towards sales, retention, and quality targets.
  • Knowledge of FCA regulations, Consumer Duty, and insurance compliance is highly desirable.
