Head of Research (Motor Forensics) – About the role
My client investigate vehicle incidents such as collisions, mechanical failure and vehicle fires.
You will provide support investigators in matters of science and mathematics. Carry out short and long-term research projects to develop knowledge and understanding in investigative areas.
Where appropriate, write articles and research papers in a format suitable for publication.
You must be prepared to travel within the UK as part of an on-going investigation in support of the Lead Investigator.
Organise Crash Testing and other events when required.
Assist in the training of new investigators.
Maintain a small research laboratory.
Head of Research (Motor Forensics) – Key requirements
An Honours Degree in Physics or an Engineering discipline such as Automobile Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Good mathematical ability and high level of experience with software such as MS Excel.
An interest in vehicle design, construction and performance.
Experience in a work environment such as teaching, research, design or manufacturing.
Good communication skills and self-motivated.
