Banking Administrators / Accounts Administrator - About the role

Are you looking to begin a career in the Finance Industry?

This is an entry level role into finance, taking payments for the company and supporting with banking. It’s a small team, so you will have the opportunity to get involved in a little bit of everything.

The Banking Administrators ensure the accurate, efficient, controlled and timely maintenance of the Underwriting/Claims systems and SUN cashbooks, including the investigation & analysis of outstanding items.

Banking Administrators / Accounts Administrator - Key duties

Processing daily cheque runs through our cheque production application

Maintaining stop cheque process - notifications to banks and updating relevant internal teams

Processing electronic payments (BACS/CHAPS/Faster) through the banking Internet payment tool

Resolving invoice queries and troubleshooting

Preparing and running weekly supplier rungs

Processing personal expense claims, ensuring they're coded properly with relevant supporting receipts

Liaising with Purchasing to ensure new suppliers are created on the system correctly

Ensuring that queries are followed up in a timely manner

Banking Administrators / Accounts Administrator - Key requirements

Applicants undertaking ACCA or AAT exams are welcomed, but fundamentally the team are happy looking at Finance / Accounting graduates who are looking to commence their career. Ultimately this position is a feeder role for the Finance Operations Team, and from here we’ve seen people move all over the finance sphere

Excellent reconciliation skills

A proven record of investigative work, an analytical mind, and strong communication skills

Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and balance multiple demands

Experience in the insurance industry is advantageous, but not required
