Delegated Authority Manager - About the role

Vital to the successful implementation of the Delegated Authority strategy, this role is an exciting opportunity to join a new P&C business right at the outset.

The purpose of the role is to manage all third-party arrangements for the Property & Casualty syndicate, ensuring compliance with the company’s Delegated Authority Framework

Delegated Authority Manager - Key duties

Oversee all delegated authority matters, including managing the approval (for both entity-level and contract-level reviews) and ongoing monitoring for coverholders , MGAs, service companies and TPAs.

Manage the audit process ensuring the timely implementation of the annual audit schedule for coverholders , MGAs, service companies and TPAs.

Oversee the review process for all lineslips and master policies falling within the Specialty Division.

Manage the updates required to all third-party processes, ensuring that all relevant policies and procedures relating to management of third parties are kept under regular review and developed as necessary.

Assist the Senior Compliance Officer in the completion of regulatory and Lloyd’s returns as required and ensure that actions arising from market thematic reviews are embedded within the company.

Provide guidance and training to others in the company on compliance with regulatory and Lloyd’s rules pertaining to the use of third parties and circulate information to key stakeholders within the organisation as appropriate.

To manage the third-party sections of the annual Compliance Plan and ensure proposed projects / tasks are completed on time.

Ensuring all relevant processes and procedure documents are up to date, approved annually by the Board (or Committee as necessary) and meet Lloyd’s Minimum Standards and/or other regulatory requirements

Attend the regular Delegated Underwriting Managers ('DUM’) forums and other market seminars / workshops and provide summary updates to the Senior Compliance Officer as required.

Provide co-ordination support for internal audit reviews.

Delegated Authority Manager - Key requirements

Experience working within a senior Delegated Authority role within an insurance company.

Attention to detail, excellent due diligence and investigative skills.

Strong analytical, written and communication skills.

Excellent organisation and time management skills.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the business in a confident and professional manner.

IT literate with experience of third-party management systems.
