Commercial Account Executive

We are recruiting for a driven and ambitious Commercial Insurance Account Executive to develop new business, build lasting client relationships, and grow a profitable portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Insurance Account Executive, Commercial Insurance Broker, or New Business Executive who enjoys winning new business, managing client relationships, and delivering tailored commercial insurance solutions across a wide range of industry sectors.

The Role
As a Commercial Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing new commercial insurance business, managing the full sales cycle, and building long-term relationships with clients, prospects and professional introducers.
You'll work in a flexible hybrid role, engaging with clients via telephone, Microsoft Teams and face-to-face meetings, often visiting client premises to understand their insurance requirements and provide expert advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new commercial insurance business and drive sustainable business growth.
- Develop and manage relationships with commercial clients, prospects and introducers.
- Manage the full insurance sales process from initial enquiry through to placement and policy inception.
- Identify and maximise cross-selling opportunities across an existing commercial insurance portfolio.
- Create new business opportunities through networking events, referrals, targeted sales campaigns, telemarketing and re-engaging lapsed clients.
- Place risks with insurers and negotiate competitive commercial insurance terms.
- Manage your own diary with the flexibility of hybrid working.
- Deliver exceptional client service while achieving agreed sales and income targets.

- Property Insurance
- Employers' Liability Insurance (EL)

- Directors' & Officers' Insurance (D&O)
- Fleet Insurance
- Cyber Insurance
About the Clients
The role focuses primarily on commercial clients generating approximately £10,000-£50,000 Gross Written Premium (GWP), while also providing the opportunity to work on larger and more complex commercial insurance accounts.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Commercial Account Executive, Commercial Insurance Broker, Insurance Account Executive, or similar commercial insurance role.
- Strong new business development and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to win and retain commercial insurance clients.
- Experience placing commercial insurance risks into the market.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own workload in a hybrid working environment.
