Business / Data Analyst - About the role
Working in the Lloyd’s Market Insurance sector within the Management Information team, the main purpose of the role will be to support the MI department in providing data, reports and other relevant Management Information to all areas of the business as well as assisting with regulatory reporting requirements.
This is a hybrid role with the option of working Monday’s and Fridays working from home and Tuesday to Thursday working in the office in London.
Business / Data Analyst - Key duties
Assisting with the production of, or provision of such information as may be requested for, statutory and regulatory returns
Assisting with the timely production and distribution of:
Daily reporting suite
Monthly reporting pack to Executive and Board Committees
Quarterly reporting of reserving data
Management and maintenance of all reports, including a suite of Tableau dashboards
Production of information to assist the placement of the syndicates Reinsurance programme
Provision of Ad-Hoc reports as required
Ensuring that all reports and tasks are delivered in a timely fashion
Business / Data Analyst - Key requirements
1 to 2 years’ experience or degree/strong A-Levels, preferably with a finance or business background
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products particularly Microsoft Excel
Motivated self-starter with proven ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines
Highly numerate and analytical with strong attention to detail in providing accurate analysis and high quality output
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with ability to build effective working relationships with all levels of staff
Experience or knowledge of the following would be advantageous but is not essential:
Data warehousing and related reporting tools
SQL and related tools (e.g. SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, Visual Studio)
Visual basics/Macros
Dashboard reporting (Tableau, Power BI etc)
