Broker Support / Account Handler – About the Role

Are you an experienced Broker Support professional, Insurance Account Handler, Insurance Technician, or Reinsurance Account Handler looking to develop your career within the Energy and Reinsurance insurance market?

Our client is looking for a highly organised Broker Support / Account Handler to join their specialist Energy Broking team. This role plays a vital part in supporting brokers with the administration of new business, insurance renewals, mid-term adjustments and policy servicing, ensuring clients receive an exceptional level of service.

Working within a fast-paced insurance broking environment, you'll support the placement and ongoing management of Energy and Reinsurance risks, liaising with clients, insurers, underwriters and internal broking teams to deliver efficient and accurate insurance solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in insurance broking, reinsurance, Lloyd's, wholesale insurance or commercial insurance account handling who are looking to progress their career.

Broker Support / Account Handler Responsibilities

As a Broker Support / Account Handler, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Energy Broking team with the administration of new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments.
• Managing client enquiries from policyholders, brokers, insurers and third-party stakeholders.
• Processing insurance documentation, including slips, quotes, endorsements, indications and policy amendments.
• Assisting with the placement of Energy and Reinsurance risks across the insurance market.
• Producing accurate broking documentation and client reports.
• Maintaining delegated authority agreements and ensuring compliance with insurer requirements.
• Completing technical insurance administration, including data entry, subjectivity management and credit control.
• Assisting brokers in designing appropriate insurance programmes to meet client needs.
• Maintaining accurate client records using internal insurance systems.
• Building strong relationships with clients, insurers, underwriters and internal stakeholders.
• Ensuring all work complies with FCA regulations, company procedures and industry best practice.

Broker Support / Account Handler Requirements

To succeed in this Broker Support / Account Handler role, you'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in Broker Support, Insurance Account Handling, Reinsurance, Insurance Administration or Technical Broking Support.
• Experience working within the Reinsurance market, Energy Insurance or wider commercial insurance sector.
• Strong knowledge of insurance documentation, including slips, endorsements, renewals and policy administration.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate insurance documentation.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to liaise with clients, brokers, insurers and underwriters.
• A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced insurance environment.
• A proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Candidates with experience as an Insurance Account Handler, Broker Technician, Technical Broker, Broking Support Executive, Insurance Administrator, Reinsurance Technician, Client Executive or Commercial Account Handler are encouraged to apply.
